Aili S. (Josephson) Scirpoli, 90, of Shrewsbury died peacefully Friday June 26, 2009 in the Marlboro Hills Nursing Center surrounded by her family. Her husband Michael F. Scirpoli died February 1, 2009. Aili is survived by her loving family; three sons, Michael Scirpoli and his wife Sharon of Mashpee, John Scirpoli and his fiancé Anne Cahill of Shrewsbury, Frank Scirpoli and his wife Joanne of Shrewsbury, two brothers Albert Josephson and his wife Carol of Shrewsbury, Carl Josephson and his wife Beverly, and a sister Agnis Cloutier of Oxford, three grandchildren, Lauren, Matthew and Christopher, and three great grandchildren Avery, Addison, and Alivia, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother John Josephson who was killed in action during WW11. Aili was born in Worcester daughter of the late William and Alma (Westerback) Josephson and lived in Shrewsbury many years. Aili worked at the U.S. Envelope Company Logan Division, and also worked at Bradlee's Department Store for many years before she retired. Aili was a long time member of St. Anne's Church, and also the women's auxiliary of the former Quaranta American Legion Post. She enjoyed being a homemaker, but her most precious times were those spent with her family. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Aili's funeral will be held Tuesday June 30, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30AM in St Anne's Church 130 Boston Turnpike. Calling hours in the funeral home are 9 AM to 11AM Tuesday morning. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
