Alice M. Breau

Alice M. (Gasek) Breau, 77, of Worcester passed away Monday, June 15, 2009 in Saint Vincent Hospital. She is survived by her husband, retired Worcester Fire Fighter Edward J. Breau, with whom she would have celebrated fifty-five years of marriage on June 18. She is also survived by her son, Edward F. Breau of Lusby, Maryland; four grandchildren, Heather Ward, Robin Gravelle, Ruth Breau, and Sara Breau; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was born in West Boylston, the daughter of Anthony and Helen (Kazmerzek) Gasek. Mrs. Breau worked for the Sutton Elementary School for over ten years, retiring in 1985 as Kitchen Manager. She was a member of the former Saint Margaret Mary Parish in Worcester. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 22, at 6:30 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. There are no calling hours.
