Henry Burns, 77, a longtime resident of West Boylston, formerly of Worcester, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Cecilia B. (Gault) Burns for 53 years. Born June 24, 1931 in Glasgow, Scotland, he was the son of the late John and Frances (Finnie) Burns. In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Diane Carr of West Boylston, two brothers, John Burns and James Burns both of Scotland; a sister, Anna McGurk of Scotland; four grandchildren, Lindsey Carr, Megan Carr, Cameron Parke, and Delaney Parke; one great grandson, Kobe Carr, many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Lisa Parke who passed away November 26, 2008 and brother of the late Joe and William Burns. Henry served in the British Military for nearly four years. For many years, Henry worked for Escola's Roofing and retired from General Motors. He enjoyed soccer, golf, his Harley Davidson; but most of all he will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be sadly missed. In accordance with Henry's wishes, he was cremated. There are no calling hours or public services.
