Kathleen (Morris) Sciaraffa, 85, a simple, gentle and compassionate woman, formerly of 485 Grove St and 61 Tower St. passed away Sunday, May 31st 2009 surrounded by cherished family. Her first husband John Burke passed away in 1952. Her second husband of 44 years, James V. Sciaraffa passed away in 1999. She is survived by her seven devoted children, Daniel Sciaraffa and his wife Roeshell of Sturbridge, Michael Sciaraffa and his wife Jane of Auburn, John Burke and his wife Maureen of Yarmouth, Kathleen Lavato and her husband William of Springfield, James Burke and his wife Elaine of Charlton, Joanne Sweet and her husband Paul of Millbury, Barbara Kearns and her husband James of Sturbridge; a brother, Thomas Morris of Hubbardston; a sister, Teresa Feeley of Agawam; eighteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Three brothers, John Morris, Joseph Morris, and Albert Morris and a sister, Mary Breeds all pre deceased her. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Joseph and Nora (Qualey) Morris. She graduated from St. Peter's High school and has lived here all her life. Kathleen was a licensed practical nurse for St. Vincent Hospital and several area care centers before retiring. Kathleen was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Her life and inspiration were her family, their care, comfort and company. She treasured the time she spent with them. A Memorial mass will be held Thursday, June 4th at 10:00 a.m. in The Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
