Michael Liseno, 81, of Worcester passed away Wednesday, May 27th 2009 in the Memorial Hospital surrounded by his devoted family. Mike a simple, gentle and quiet man who treasured his family and his life with them, was born in Worcester, one of eight children of Domenic and Maria (Sciascia) Liseno. He attended Worcester Boys Trade School , worked many years as a sheet metal worker for the former Arduini Manufacturing Company before retiring and has lived here all his life. Mike is survived by his devoted wife and partner, Eleanor E. (Bergman) Liseno, whom he married over 56 years ago. He also leaves behind his two cherished daughters, Linda M. Boucher and her husband David of Hubbardston and Susan A. Gillis of Worcester; five adored grandchildren, Kristin, and Matthew Boucher, Laura, John and Stephanie Gillis; a great granddaughter, Laci Gillis; many nieces, nephews and friends. Michael was the last remaining sibling of his family, He was predeceased by his five brothers, Frank, Joseph, Lorenzo, Vincent and Louis Liseno; and his two sisters, Martha Polito and Grace Liseno. Besides his family Mike enjoyed golfing, candlepin bowling, tending to his yard, and garden. He was a member of the Frohsinn Club in Shrewsbury and the Columbus Civic Association in Worcester. Funeral services for Michael will be held Monday, June 1st at 11:00 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family; Sunday, May 31st from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St. Framingham, 01701. Or a charity of your choice.
