Joseph F. Feraco, 71, of Worcester, passed away Friday, May 15th 2009 in the University of Massachusetts hospital after being stricken ill at home. Joseph's wife of 44 years, Laura M. (Abruzzese) Feraco passed away in 2007. He is survived by his devoted four children, Joseph T. and David P. Feraco both of Worcester, Thomas J. Feraco of Cambridge, and Maryellen Feraco of Framingham; Three brothers, Frank Feraco Jr., William and Michael Feraco all of Worcester; three sisters, Rose Feraco and Eva Dacri both of Worcester and Louise Carlo of Auburn; many nieces and nephews. A brother Pasquale Feraco, and three sisters, Jessie Carlo, Gloria Roberts, and Anna Feraco all pre deceased him. Joe was born in Norwich, Ct. a son of Frank and Mary (Sauro) Feraco. He graduated from St. Stephen's High School, served in the U.S. Army and has lived here all his life. Joe worked many years for the Wyman-Gordon Company in Grafton before retiring. He previously worked as a sales rep for various companies . Joe was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, politics and especially his children. The funeral will be held Tuesday, May 19th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL; 370 Plantation St with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Monday, May 18th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
