Susan Jean Cicero

Susan Jean (Braskie) Cicero, 73, of Worcester passed away at home, Thursday, May 14th 2009 surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Susan is survived by her loving husband and partner of 37 years, Jack C. Cicero; her three beloved daughters, twins Mary Crossman, and Cindy Baker and her husband Richard, and Kim Coffman all of Worcester; six adored sons, John Tisdale and his wife Elaine, Michael Tisdale and his wife Meegan all of Las Vegas, Carl Cicero and his wife Denise of Charlton, John Cicero, Mark Cicero and his wife Linda, Paul Cicero and his wife Linda all of Worcester; Her daughter in law, Mirna Tisdale, of Framingham; She Also leaves her sole surviving sister, Elizabeth Doyle of Springfield; Susan also leaves her adored, 28 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. A grandson, Michael Crossman, a daughter in law Sarah Little, a brother, William Braskie, and two sisters, Mary Petrocinni and Joyce Demers all pre deceased her. She was born in Monson, a daughter of the late Bernard and Grace (Callahan) Braskie. She graduated with honors and achieved many awards for her sports ability from Monson High School. Susan then went on to own and operate two resorts in the Berkshires before retiring due to illness and settling in Worcester to raise her family and receive the best possible care from them in 1973. Susan was a devoted and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Her family, their accomplishments, company and care were her inspiration and life. She will be greatly missed by all. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Monday May 18th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. The funeral will be held Tuesday, May 19th from the funeral home with a celebration of Christian Liturgy at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will follow next to her grandson in St. John's Cemetery.
