DATELINE: Millbury Frank D. Belsito, Sr. 71, of Millbury, passed away Sunday, May 3rd, 2009 in the University of Massachusetts Hospital after being stricken ill. Frank is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Donna L. (Girardin) Belsito; four children, Brenda Pelletier and her husband Paul of Sutton, Darlene Boire of Millbury, Steven J. Belsito and his wife Darleen of Auburn and Michael Belsito of Providence R.I.; three brothers, Raymond Belsito of Dudley, David Belsito of Millbury and Paul Belsito of Worcester; a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Haddad of Worcester; eight cherished grandchildren, Stephanie, Melissa, Kristina, Matthew, Jessica, Angelo, Robert and Erica; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Two sons, James and Frank Belsito Jr. both pre deceased him. Frank was born in Worcester his parents were Angelo and Isabelle (DiCicco) Belsito. He has lived in Millbury more than 40 years. Frank owned and operated Frank D. Belsito Trucking for the past 30 years. He previously worked for Marois Bros Construction. Frank was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, The Local 4, International Brotherhood of Operators Union, and the Harley owners association. Frank was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and owner, taking part in many memorial motorcycle rides in memory of deceased motorcycle enthusiasts. Frank also enjoyed restoring Antique Cars, watching NASCAR and Boxing. He was a quiet, gentle man that would do anything for anyone. He worked hard his whole life to care for his family. But, Frank most enjoyed his grandchildren. Friends & Relatives are invited to visit with the family Wednesday, May 6th from 3:30 pm to 8:00 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St Worcester. His funeral will be held Thursday, May 7th from the funeral home with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the James Belsito memorial scholarship fund, care of Millbury Credit Union, North Main St Millbury 01537 or the Friendly House, 36 Wall St. Worcester 01604.
