Mary A. (DiPinto) Pederson, 87, of Shrewsbury, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009, in Shrewsbury Nursing Home. Her husband, Paul C. Pederson, pre-deceased her in January 2004; as did a son, Paul F. Pederson in August 2002. Mary is survived by her loving family, John Molnar and his wife Ingrid of Northborough; Rosemary Molnar and her husband Edward S. Angel of Sante Fe, NM, Mera Robideaux of Grafton, and Valerie Pederson-Purinton and her husband Mark of Stowe; a brother, George DiPinto of Orange, CA; a sister, Rose DiLeo of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Mary was also pre-deceased by her first husband, Eugene Molnar in 1952, three brothers, James, Vito, and Daniel DiPinto, and by two sisters, Nora Beshai and Viola Cote. Mary was born in Worcester, daughter of Francesco and Lucia (Capurso) DiPinto, where she attended school, and worked as a stitcher for Wearwell Trouser and New England Manufacturing, during World War II. She was a member of Saint Anne's Church, and was a teacher in the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine program there. She had been a member of The International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was a loving, caring woman, who enjoyed times spent with her family and friends. The funeral for Mary will be held Wednesday, April 29, from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Saint Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Road (route 9), Shrewsbury. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 28, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
