David Cogswell

January 19, 1948 — March 30, 2009

David Cogswell, 61, of Grafton, died unexpectedly, March 30, 2009 in his home. His wife Cheryl-Ann (Wentzell) Cogswell died in February 2008. David is survived by his son, Jason Cogswell of Boston; two daughters, Tracy Cogswell Balthazor of Newton and Kristen Cogswell of Southborough; three brothers, Steven Cogswell of Pembroke, NH, R. Christopher Cogswell of Germany and Robert C. Cogswell of Baton Rouge, LA; a sister Barbara Hammett of Florida; four grandchildren, Ashley, William, Nikita and Paul, as well as many nieces and nephews. David, son of the late Richard K. and Dorothy M. (Chamberlain) Cogswell, was born in Marlborough on January 19, 1948, and graduated from Marlborough High School. He later attended Quinsigamond Community College and Westborough State Hospital School of Nursing, where he received various certificates in the medical field. He then received his EMT Certificate from Marlborough Hospital. Mr. Cogswell worked as a Medical Coder for the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. A Memorial Service for David will be held Thursday, April 9th at 11 AM in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
