Edith B McKeon

July 21, 1925 — March 4, 2009

Edith B. (Carlson) McKeon, 83, of Worcester passed away Wednesday, March 4th 2009 surrounded by her family. Edith's husband, Bernard F. McKeon passed away in 1978. She is survived by a brother, William A. Carlson of Pomona, California; a sister, Judith A. Carlson of Santa Monica, California; seven step-children Bernard McKeon, Jr. of Auburn, and Daniel McKeon of Winchendon; Carol Gleason of Auburn, Ellen Goodrow and Eleanor Latham both of Spencer, Susan Rybicki of N. Brookfield and Beverly Sheehan of Summersworth, N.H; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews including Donna Beaulieu of Ludlow, Lynne Courteau of North Brookfield and Lori Chabot in Florida; A brother, David Carlson and a sister, Martha G. Dow pre deceased her. Edith was born in Worcester, a daughter of Eskil and Ada G. (Ramsdell) Carlson. She grew up in Worcester graduated from Commerce High School. She and her husband loved to travel across the country and lived in California for a time before returning to retire in Worcester. Edith worked over 35 years for Winchester Insurance Agency. She was an extremely hard worker and loving caregiver, who cherished her family. A period of visitation with the family will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, Saturday, April 11th in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation.
