Leo Dionne

April 1, 1921 — February 19, 2009

Leo Dionne, 87, of Worcester, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009 in St. Francis Home. His wife Brunetta (Chirchignio) passed away in February, 1971. He leaves his son, John LeBeau Dionne and his wife Janet of Worcester, with whom he made his home; his stepchildren, Barbara Carbonneau, Frank LeBeau, George LeBeau and Beverly Maple; a sister Irene Wentworth of South Grafton; three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Leo was born in Northbridge and has lived in Worcester for all of his life. He served his nation proudly in the United States Navy. Mr. Dionne was the caretaker for the First Baptist Church on Park Ave, Worcester, retiring at the age of 72. Family was a big part of his life. He treasured the times he spent with and around them. A funeral Mass for Leo will be held Saturday, February 21st at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to his funeral Mass. MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.
