Claude A. Ducharme, 66, of Worcester died peacefully Thursday February 12, 2009 in the UMASS Medical Center surrounded by his family. His wife Nancy (Trotta) Ducharme died in 1994. Claude is survived by his loving family; a daughter Tina Krencisz and her husband Mark of Worcester, two sons, Michael Ducharme and his wife Robin, of Fort Lewis Washington, John Ducharme and his wife Jennifer of Bellingham, two brothers Robert Ducharme of Worcester, and Francis Ducharme Jr. and his wife Susan of Rutland, a sister Margarite Heavey of Florida, eight grandchildren, Robert, Jenny, Elizabeth, Veronica, Olivia, Kateri, Lucien, and Sydney, and many nephews and nieces. Claude was born in Worcester son of the late Francis Ducharme Sr. and Mary (Stone) Ducharme and lived in Worcester all his life. He was a graduate of Worcester Vocational Technical School class of "61" Claude was a Machinist at the former Vellumoid Company for many years before he retired. Claude also worked at the former Manzi Funeral Home for several years. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Of America Local. He enjoyed Bowling and was a skilled woodworker. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Claude's funeral service will be held Today, Saturday February 14th, at 10:00AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St.A calling hour will be held from 9:00AM until the time of service.Interment will be in St Johns Cemetery.
