Sharon Ann Augusta

September 25, 1955 — February 8, 2009

Sharon Ann (Rivard) Augusta, 53, of Cherry Valley, passed away, Sunday, February 8, 2009 in her home surrounded by her family. She leaves her husband of 31 years, Wayne S. Augusta, her two children, Adam Augusta and his wife Eva of Cherry Valley and Rayna Hanschen and her husband Karl of Austin, TX. She also leaves her mother, Florence (Proulx) Rivard of Cherry Valley. Sharon was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Joseph Rivard. She graduated from Holy Name Central Catholic High School. Mrs. Augusta worked as a Policy Coordinator for UMass Memorial Hospital for over ten years, retiring due to her illness. The service will be held Sunday, February 15th, at the Manor Restaurant in West Boylston at noon. Sharon was a woman of strong faith and believed that we should not mourn for her. She is with her savior and is rejoicing today. Her wish was that her family and friends get together and celebrated fifty-three wonderful years with her loved ones and her joyous reunion with God. She considered this celebration her last chance to throw a party for those she loved. Please come celebrate her life with us. In lieu of flowers, Sharon requested that donations be made to Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, specifically their research on alternative medicines. One Charles Center, 100 North Charles Street, Suite 234, Baltimore, MD 21201. To share your thoughts and memories of Sharon, please visit her personal guestbook at: mercadantefuneral.com.
