Debra A Walls

Debra A. (Gengarelli) Walls, 45, of Rochdale, passed away Saturday, February 7th surrounded by her family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. Debra is survived by her husband Robert J. Walls; a son Scott B. Grabauskas and his wife Rebecca of Rochdale; two stepchildren Corissa M. Walls and Jeffery D. Walls both of Oxford; her mother Marie A. (Ritacco) Gengarelli; two brothers, Mark J. Gengarelli and his wife Wendy, and Christopher Gengarelli all of Millbury; a sister, Sandra J. Kosmider and her husband Ed of Charlton; Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her father, John J. "Jack" Gengarelli, Jr. passed away November 10th. Debra was born in Worcester, grew up in Millbury and graduated from Millbury High School. She then earned her degree in psychology from Worcester State College and lived in Charlton before moving to Rochdale. Debra worked for the past 9 years as a circuit design specialist for One Communications and prior to that she worked for Comlink Communications. She cherished the outdoors, enjoyed hiking, kayaking, pottery and especially gardening with her father. Family was a big part of her life. She treasured the times she spent with and around them. A funeral mass for Debra will be held Friday, February 13th at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Thursday, February 12th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Lung Cancer Research Foundation, 800 3rd Avenue-4th Floor, New York, NY 10022.
