Jean P Cosmo

Jean P. Cosmo, 48, of North Grafton, formerly of Shrewsbury, passed away Wednesday January 28th in the University of Massachusetts hospital after being stricken ill at home. Jean was born in Worcester; her father was the late Donald L. "Don" Cosmo. She grew up in Shrewsbury and graduated from Shrewsbury High School, attended Skidmore College and pursued her passion for Dance at the Boston Conservatory of Music. She is survived by her devoted mother, Catherine C. "Walsh" Cosmo; a sister Catherine M. Peters and her husband William; and a nephew, Michael Peters all of Shrewsbury; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jean was a member of St. Mary's Church in Shrewsbury. She loved life and had an extraordinary passion for the arts especially Dance. The funeral will be held Monday, February 2nd from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 640 Main St. Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held Monday, February 2nd from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral.
