Marie Theresa Wilkinson

Marie Theresa Wilkinson, 61, of West Boylston died peacefully Tuesday January 20, 2009 in the UMASS Medical Center. Marie is survived by her loving family; a son Mark D. Wilkinson Sr. of West Boylston, three sisters, Anna Boston of Bakersfield, CA. Janet Woods of Brooklyn, N.Y. Moreen Hoyte of Queens, N.Y. and a grandson Mark D. Wilkinson Jr. and many nephews and nieces. Marie was born in Black Rock County, Barbados and came to the United States in 1972, settling in the Worcester area. She attended public schools in Guyana, and received her GED here in Worcester. She was a graduate of Becker Junior College. Marie was a Secretary in the Benefits department, for the Wyman Gordon Company in Grafton for many years before she retired due to illness. Previous to that she worked for the former Salisbury Nursing Home for several years. Marie was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Northborough. She enjoyed playing the piano, and loved to cook and bake, and be with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. A funeral service for Marie will be held Monday January 26, at 12 noon in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. A period of visitation will be held from 10AM to 12 Noon. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery
