Roger J. Ceppi, 77, of Worcester passed away Tuesday, January 20th 2009 in the University of Massachusetts Hospital surrounded by his children, sister and friends from injuries suffered in an automobile accident that incurred in October. Roger's wife of 30 years Madonna M. (Matheson) Ceppi passed away in 1989. He is survived by his three children, Mark Ceppi of Shrewsbury, Michael Ceppi of Boston and Sandra Shaheen and her husband Stephen of Boxford; a sister Elda Ceppi of Worcester; his friend and companion Mary Quinn of Auburn; a daughter in law Susan Ceppi of Shrewsbury; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews cousins and close friends. A daughter Lisa Ceppi and a brother Robert Ceppi predeceased him. Roger was born in Worcester, graduated from Commerce High School, served in the Massachusetts Air National Guard during the Vietnam War and has lived here all his life. Roger worked as a Sales Representative over 25 years for the Nabisco Company before retiring. He then worked part time for the last 20 years for his daughter Sandra's Flower shop "Les Fleurs" in Andover. Roger cherished his family. He was heavily involved in volunteering for his children's activities, including the Worcester Crusaders Hockey Program, and the Boy Scouts of America. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Friday, January 23rd from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. A funeral mass for Roger will be held Saturday, January 24th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd. (Please go directly to church) Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
