Jeanette G. (Messier) Russell, 89 of Worcester passed away Wednesday, December 24th 2008 in her home surrounded by her cherished family. Her husband of 47 years Paul T. Russell passed away in 1988. She is survived by her three children; Judith Jones with whom she lived; Janet Vertefeuille and her companion Raymond Healy and Robert P. Russell and his companion Lisa Cardillo all of Charlton; eight grandchildren, Donna, Lisa, Dianne, Robert Jones Jr., Gregg, & Mitchell Morris, Robert Russell Jr. and Marc Russell; 19 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Ernest and Francis Messier and two sisters, Beatrice Delorge and Evelyn Lapriore pre deceased her. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Frank and Ernestine (Catineau) Messier, and has lived here all her life. Jeannette was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church in Grafton, the Froshinn Club, and a former member and secretary of the Lake Quinsigamond Yacht Club. She enjoyed Travel and playing cards at the Millbury and Grafton Senior Centers. The funeral will be held Tuesday, December 30th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a service at 11:00 am in St Andrew Episcopal Church, 53 North Main St. Grafton. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours, Monday December 29th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
