Peter M. Abdelmaseh, 93, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 16th in Holy Trinity Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. His wife of 34 years, Lily (Sear) Abdelmaseh, passed away in 1980. He is survived by his two sons, Mansour Ansari and his wife Kafi of Atlanta, Georgia and Peter Abdelmaseh of North Andover, MA; two daughters, June Kuzmeskus and her Husband Joseph of Shelburne, MA and Susan Latuga and her husband Robert of Worcester; two sisters, Catherine Delnore of Boylston and Rachel Mahassel of Penfield, New York, seven grandchildren, including Daniel and David, for whom he played a prominent part in their lives; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Henry, Albert and Samuel Abdelmaseh and three sisters, Amelia Abraham, Irene Swydan and Rose Dill. Peter was born in Worcester, son of the late Mansour & Afoumia (Boosahda) Abdelmaseh and has lived here all his life. He graduated from Commerce High School. He served his nation proudly in the United Stated Navy, during World War II. During his time in the Navy he was a Signal Man 1st Class aboard the USSYMS 329. He was the owner of Billings Auto Supply for over forty six years. Mr. Abdelmaseh was an avid golfer and was a former member of Wachusett Country Club and Pleasant Valley Country Club. Peter was also a member of the Guiding Lights Masonic Lodge, formerly known as the Athelstan Masonic Lodge. The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to the devoted nurses and supportive hospice staff at Holy Trinity Nursing Home. Peter's funeral will be held December 19th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint George Anthiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna Street, Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. An additional period of visitation will be held in the Cathedral Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery.
