Aldo W. Gatti, 91, formerly of Shrewsbury died Wednesday November 26, 2008 in the Windsor Nursing Center South Yarmouth. Aldo is survived by a sister Mentana Gatti of Worcester, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Carmelina (Ermilio) Gatti, and two sisters Ora and Volga Gatti. Aldo was born in Worcester son of the late Gaetano and Mary (Galacini) Gatti and lived in Shrewsbury most of his life.He was a graduate of North High School class of 1936, and Holy Cross College in 1940. He was a Navy veteran of WW11 serving in the Intelligence Corps. Aldo was the proprietor of Worcester Monumental Works on Shrewsbury St for many years before he retired. He was a fine artist, a boating and golf enthusiast and world traveler. He enjoyed his homes in Shrewsbury and Worcester and really enjoyed working in his profession. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Many thanks to all who so lovingly took care of Aldo during his latter years. Aldo's funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. a calling hour will be held from 9AM to 11AM prior to the funeral service.
