Leon R. "Lee" Vachon, 58, of Holden, formerly of Webster passed away peacefully Thursday, November 20th 2008 after a three year illness. Lee was born November 15th 1950, in Worcester a son of Romeo L. and Irene B. (Kuszewski) Vachon; He graduated from St. Stephen's High school, lived many years in Webster before moving to Holden 3 years ago. He is survived by his sister, Cynthia E. Carelli and her husband Paul of North Grafton; two nieces, Allison Warren and her husband Joshua, and Lauren Carelli; a great nephew Tyler Warren; extended family and friends. Lee worked as a truck driver for SPI Distributors in Auburn several years before retiring due to illness. Lee was an accomplished Guitarist, playing with many area bands from the 1970's to until recently. His enjoyments included Formula One Grand Prix car racing and racing remote control boats. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 25th in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A service will be held at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wachusetts Extended Care Patient Activities Fund, 56 Boyden Rd.
