She had three handsome grandsons, Richard Vacca, Michael Brozowski, Peter Brozowski and wife Mollie and their soon to be born baby. Several special nieces and nephews. In Lucy's 90 years she has seen a lifetime of special moments. Her greatest joy was to be surrounded by her loving family. She shared in so many people's lives. It never failed that one of our friends asked about her each and every day. She had a special way of becoming an extended family member in so many lives. Lucia was born in 1918 the year her beloved Red Sox won the World Series. She remained an avid fan throughout her life. She grew up on Shrewsbury Street as one of seven children to Italian immigrants. She referred to that time in her life as the "good old days " when she and her chums would laugh endlessly, dress in the height of fashion and dance their feet off to the Big Bands. As a young women she worked for Norton Company. Lucy loved her Family, her Country and the American Flag and was so proud to be asked to sell War Bonds during World War II. She left Norton's and married Ottavio Vacca in 1947 and began her most rewarding job of raising her family. Our hearts are broken, our tears are fresh but we must part from our strong and loving Mother. You will be missed every day of our lives. You will be forever in our hearts until we meet again. At this time, our Family ,would like to thank the Staff at the Saint Francis Home for their wonderful care and kindness given to our Mom throughout the last several years of her life. You, at Saint Francis, made your home, her home.
