Samuel P. Perch, 84, of Worcester, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008 in his home, surrounded by his family. Mr. Perch is survived by his wife of fifty three years, Carol A. (Perch) Perch; a son, Kenneth P. Perch and his wife Sandra of Shrewsbury; a daughter Lori A. Perch of Worcester; two grandchildren, Andrew P. Perch and Katherine A. Perch; a sister Anne Kochakian of Peabody; several nieces and nephews. Samuel was born in Worcester, son of Paul and Yulita (Elbag) Perch, where he graduated from Worcester's High School of Commerce and from Worcester Junior College. He later served his nation in the United States Army, during World War II. Mr. Perch was an appliance salesman with Hunter Appliance in Littleton. He had previously worked in sales for the former Supply Distributors and Coghlin Electric, both in Worcester. He also worked at the former Harrington-Richardson Arms Company in Worcester. He attended Saint Mary's Assyrian Orthodox Church in Shrewsbury. He enjoyed watching the Red Sox, dining in as well as dining out. He found most joy in all the special times with his family, especially his dog "Boo", who passed away in June. The funeral for Samuel will be held Friday, November 14, from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with a service at 10 a.m. in Saint Mary's Syrian Orthodox Church, 1 Industrial Drive, Shrewsbury. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester.
