Leo Brosnan, Jr., 75, of Worcester, passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 in the University of Massachusetts Hospital. Leo is survived by a brother, Ronald Brosnan and his wife Katherine; a sister, Elizabeth A. Hazelhurst all of Worcester; nieces and nephews. Leo was born in Worcester; his parents were the late Leo J. Brosnan, Sr. and Gladys M. (Prenier) Brosnan. He graduated from St. John's High School where he was a standout baseball pitcher, leading St. John's to several titles. He has lived here all his life. Leo once worked as a steam fitter for the Worcester State Hospital before retiring. The funeral will be held Friday, November 7th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. John's Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will follow in St Johns cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held Friday, November 7th from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to thee funeral.
