Marion A. (Aboody) Haddad, 86, of Worcester, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 21, 2008 surrounded by her family. Marion is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Edward N. Haddad; her devoted five children, Kenneth Haddad, Carolyn M. Frost and her husband Brent, Denise A. Ferraro and her husband Michael, Christine H. DelleFemine and Maria D. Testa and her partner Alan Ward; four cherished siblings, Grace Aboody, Naphie Samara, Richard and Paul Aboody; Ten adored grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was pre deceased by brothers John, Joseph, and George Aboody and a sister Adele MacKoul. Marion was born in Worcester, daughter of Paul and Helen (Kalil) Aboody. She was an owner of the famous El Morocco Restaurant where she specialized in Middle Eastern foods and pastries. Marion would always volunteer her cooking skills and services to many church functions. She and her husband were world travelers having visited Europe, Africa, South America and the Middle East. Marion's greatest pleasure was being surrounded by family and friends and serving her many culinary creations. She loved to entertain, to laugh and joke and enjoyed cheering on the Red Sox. Marion's warm and generous hospitality will be greatly missed. Funeral services for Marion will be held Friday, October 24th at 11:00 a.m. in St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna St. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Thursday, October 23rd from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, October 24th from 10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in St. George Orthodox Cathedral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St George Orthodox Cathedral Endowment Fund or Holy Trinity Nursing Home.
