Daniel N. Morrison, Jr. 74, of Spencer, passed away Monday, September 29, 2008, in the University of Massachusetts from injuries suffered in an automobile accident earlier. Daniel is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean Marie (Dill) Morrison; three sons, Jon B. Morrison and his wife Lynn of Ellington, CT., Daniel N. Morrison, III, and his wife Elwira of Phoenix, Arz., and Brian P. Morrison of Brookfield; three daughters, Kim Marie Staniszewski and her husband John of Chesterfield, Lynn A. Papaji of Seaside Ore, Laurel "Laurie" A. Palmerino and her husband Domenic of Worcester; seventeen grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A brother, Walter Raymond passed away in March. Daniel was born in Gardner, son of Daniel N. Morrison, Sr. and Bertha (Gower) Morrison. He grew up in Gardner, served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict and has lived in Spencer more than 31 years. Daniel was a member of the Spencer American Legion Post 138. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, October 1st from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Worcester. A prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
