Congetta "Connie" Margaret (D'Amelio) Latino, 91, of Shrewsbury passed away surrounded by family, Saturday, September 27th, 2008 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence. Congetta's husband Charles A. Latino, Sr. passed away in 1982. She is survived by her devoted son, Charles A. Latino, Jr. of Shrewsbury; two cherished granddaughters, Suzanne Amato of Haverhill and Christine Miele of Salem, NH; four adored great grandchildren, Olivia, Isabelle, Kathryn and William; nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Vincent, Amelio and Albert D'Amelio pre deceased her. Congetta was born in Worcester, the daughter of Joseph and Louise (Carrabas) D'Amelio. Congetta grew up and raised her family in Worcester, before moving to Shrewsbury in 1988. During Congetta's employed years she worked over 20 years for the Woodbury Company before retiring. She was a member of St. Mary's church. Congetta enjoyed reading, her walks with the neighbors and cooking. She also enjoyed watching baseball and following politics. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, October 1st at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 640 Main St. Burial alongside her husband will follow in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
