Salvatore C. D'Emilio, 89 formerly of 40 Pleasant Valley Dr. died peacefully Saturday September 27, 2008 in the Life Care Center of Auburn. Salvatore is survived by several nieces and nephews, among them Christine C. Clifford of Auburn, Eileen A. Linga of East Douglas, Michael J. Carlson of Webster, and Paul Galli. And several great nieces and great nephews. Salvatore was predeased by two brothers; Emilio D'Emilio, and John D'Emilio, and three sisters; Ann Galli, Rose Stearns, and Mary Ann Carlson. Salvatore was born in Worcester son of the late Saverio and Felicia (Rossi) D'Emilio and lived here all his life. He was a Graduate of Worcester Boys Trade School, and served in the US Army during WW11. Salvatore worked for the City Of Worcester as a foreman in the Street Department for many years before he retired. He liked artistry and sketching and enjoyed gardening, walking, and loved to read. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A funeral service for Salvatore will be held Tuesday September 30, at 11:00AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. A calling hour will be held from 10:00AM to 11:00AM prior to the service. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers contributions may be made to the Patient Activity Fund of the Life Care Center of Auburn 14, Masonic Circle, Auburn, MA.01501
