Robert L. LaPlume,42, of Worcester, passed away Friday, September 26, 2008 at UMass Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his father Robert LaPlume and his wife, Donna of Worcester, His mother Lynda Pratte and her husband, Stephen of Webster. He also leaves his sister, Dianna LaPlume of Worcester; his grandmother, Isabelle LaPlume and his niece, Samantha, his step-mother, Ann-Marie Farrell of Worcester and his best buddy, David Day of Millbury. Rob also leaves several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Rob was a graduate of Burncoat High School. He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling and other sports, rock-and-roll, and thrillers. Rob had a courageous and independent spirit. His family and friends loved him deeply and he will always be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. Robert's funeral will be held Tuesday, September 30th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, with a service at 11:00 AM in First Church of the Nazarene, 146 Burncoat Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour, in the funeral home, will be held from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM prior to his funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AIDS Project Worcester Inc., 85 Green Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
