Alphonse T. Perrucci, 83, of Massasoit Road in Worcester, formerly of Northborough, passed away, Friday, September 12, 2008 in Christopher House of Worcester. His wife, Susan Boucher Perrucci, predeceased him in 1997; and his first wife, Ann Marie (Riccardi) Perrucci, predeceased him in 1982. Alphonse is survived by his loving family, including his daughter, Carol Hull and her companion William Massey; his best friend and grandson, Christopher M. Hull; and his granddaughter, Lindsay A. Hull all of Worcester; nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his sister, Josephine Army. Mr. Perrucci was born in Worcester, the son of Angelo and Mary (Yacuzzi) Perrucci. He served his nation in The United States Army, during World War II. He was awarded the Victory Medal, the Distinguished Unit Badge, and the European, African, and Middle Eastern Theatre Campaign Ribbon with bronze service arrowheads. Alphonse was a car appraiser for many years, retiring from ABC Auto Parts in Leominster. He enjoyed golfing and gardening. His family brought him the most joy, especially the times with his best friend, Chris, his grandson. Mr. Perrucci's family would like to extend a special thanks to all the people who cared for Alphonse, including doctors, nurses, aides, and assistants; their special kindness will always be remembered. The funeral for Mr. Perrucci will be held Tuesday, September 16, from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held Monday night, September 15, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
