Efrain Sepulveda, 77, of Worcester, died Wednesday, September 3, 2008, peacefully in his home surrounded by his family. He leaves his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Ada (Valentin) Sepulveda. They celebrated their anniversary on August 29th. He leaves his five children, Migdalia Fairbanks of North Grafton, Lionel Sepulveda of Worcester, Vivian Flanagan of Worcester, Walter Sepulveda of Worcester, Evelyn Sepulveda of Florida and Jalissa Amaro a granddaughter he raised. He also leaves 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. He is predeceased by his son Jose A. Sepulveda, who died in 1992. Efrain was born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico on December 30, 1930, son of the late Antonio & Maria (Valentin) Sepulveda. He came to Massachusetts in the mid 60's and later moving his family in 1971. Mr. Sepulveda worked for many years at Kennedy Die Casting until he retired in 1995. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He fought a valiant battle with cancer after having a stoke nine years ago. He will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten. The funeral for Efrain will be held Monday, September 8th at 10:00 AM in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held Sunday, September 7th, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the funeral home.
