Elizabeth A. (Fikoski) Capuano, 65 of Auburn, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 27, 2008. She leaves her husband of 43 years, John J. Capuano, her two sons, Paul Capuano and his wife Stephanie of Sutton and David Capuano and his wife Lydia of Charlton; two sisters, Rose Redmond and Nancy Miller both of Auburn; four grandchildren, John Paul, Lexi, Olivia and Julia and two nephews. Elizabeth was born in Worcester on December 16, 1942, daughter of John and Theresa (Kupka) Fikoski. She was a graduate of Commerce High School and has been a resident of Auburn since 1978. Mrs. Capuano worked as a cashier for many years for Spags and also worked for the Shrewsbury School District. Elizabeth was a loving, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who had tremendous strength and courage. The funeral for Elizabeth will be held Saturday, August 30th, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Saint John Church, 40 Temple Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. Calling hours will be Friday, August 29th from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
