James G. Elliott, Sr., of Worcester passed away Friday August 22, 2008 in his home after a brief illness. James is survived by his wife of 30 years, Nora D. (Stubbert) Elliott; his seven children, Kathleen Kelley of Tampa, Florida, Cheryl McDaniel of Worcester, Susan McDonald of New Port Richey, Florida, Marijane Parish of North Attleboro, Maryann Wing of Webster, Richard Kelley of Shrewsbury and Judilee Westbrook of Comstock, GA. Four brothers, Franklin, Charles, Robert and Raymond Elliott all in Florida; two sisters, Judy Lebelle in Spencer and Mary Wilburg in Georgia; fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; and his beloved dog, "Buster"; many nieces and nephews. A son James G. "Jamie" Elliott, Jr. passed away in 1999; three brothers, Donald, Franklin and George Elliott and a sister, Jeannie Masterson also predeceased him. James was born in Worcester a son of Franklin and Gladys (Rosell) Elliott and has lived here all his life. James worked for the City of Worcester as DPW supply forman for the past 22 years. James was an antique car enthusiast who enjoyed building, and showing them. His favorite was a 1980 Chevrolet El Camino. James also enjoyed Fishing and Golf. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Wednesday, August 27th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. followed by a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Burial inn Central Cemetery, Millbury will be held at the convenience of the family.
