Rose (Ferro) Goodwin, 87 formerly of Gage Street, died peacefully Wednesday August 13, 2008 in the Jewish Healthcare Center. Her husband Edward C. "Eddy" Goodwin died in 1999. Rose is survived by her devoted children; a son Edward A. Goodwin of West Boylston, and a daughter Carol A. Dugard and her husband Edward of Westborough, four grandchildren, Angela and Jacob Dugard, and Carla and Aaron Goodwin, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother Carmen Ferro, and three sisters Pauline Fiorillo, Alice DeGaetano, and Mary Budzinski. Rose was born in Worcester daughter Salvatore and Angelina (Marzana) Ferro and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Rose worked as a Registry Clerk in the Oncology Department at Memorial Hospital for many years before she retired. She was a life communicant of Our Lady Of Mt Carmel-St Ann Church and it's women's guild. She enjoyed being with her family and will be missed very much by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the Jewish Healthcare Center especially the fifth floor staff for their kindness and compassion shown to Rose and her family through the years. Rose's funeral will be held Saturday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 9AM in Our Lady Of Mt Carmel-St Ann Church 24 Mulberry St. Calling hours will be from 5-8PM on Friday.
