Congetta T. "Connie" (Fratantonio) Burnham, 86, of Holden and Centerville, MA passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26th 2008 with family by her side. Congetta is survived by the love of her life and husband of 66 years, Edward P. Burnham; her three children: Brenda T. Meringolo and her husband Nicholas of Holden, George W. Burnham and his wife Sheila of Princeton, Edward F. Burnham and his wife Kathleen of Holden; her three adored granddaughters: Cara Meringolo of South Boston, Christine Contreras of Sterling, and Beth Grimley of Fitchburg; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Rose Fratantonio of Holden, and Mary Smith of Florida; a brother, Domenic Fratantonio of Shrewsbury; and many nieces and nephews. Four brothers, Joseph, Frank, Victor and George Fratantonio and a sister, Catherine Goodrow all predeceased her. Congetta was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Cesare and Teresa (Cutilli) Fratantonio. She graduated from Worcester schools and lived there until moving to Holden where she resided, owned and operated Custom Interiors for more than 50 years. Connie will be remembered as a sentimental woman of integrity and great, good heart. She cherished her large and extended family and rejoiced in their successes and well being. Connie's funeral will be held Tuesday, July 29th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be in Mt Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 28th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 1 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN.
