Simonne A. (LeBlanc) Jolicoeur, 89, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2008 in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center. She leaves her two children, Richard Jolicoeur of Tolland, CT and her daughter Marianne Jancaitis of Waterford, VT; one brother, Gerard LeBlanc of FL, a sister Yvette Dumas of Worcester; three adored grandchildren, Holland Jancaitis of NY, Gregory Jancaitis of Maine and Meagan Jolicoeur of Holden and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son Roland Jolicoeur; two brothers Bert and Marcel LeBlanc and a sister Irene LeBlanc. Simonne was born in Montreal, Canada December 9, 1918, daughter of the late Albert and Aurore (Blain)LeBlanc and lived in Worcester for most of her life. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Simonne worked as a clerk for Sears, Roebuck & Co, retiring in 1972. Simonne's funeral will be held Thursday, January 10th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes, 1290 Grafton Street. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to her funeral. Entombment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Notre Dame Long Term Care, 559 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
