RuthAnn (Carelli) Bartholomew, 77, of Worcester, passed away, Sunday, June 8, 2008, in the Jewish Healthcare Center. She leaves her husband of nearly fifty-five years, Gerald F. Bartholomew; two daughters, Beth E. Bartholomew, and Gayle P. Falvey and her husband William, all of Shrewsbury; four sons, Gerald F. Bartholomew, Jr. and his wife Gloria of Cherry Valley, Neil R. Bartholomew of Ponte Vedra, Florida, Paul K. Bartholomew of Grafton, and Jon M. Bartholomew and his wife Dawn of Chicago; two brothers, James Carelli and his wife Joan of Shrewsbury, and Robert Carelli and his wife RoseMare of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Justin, Alicia, Jennifer, Ryan, Catie, Fiona, and Britton; many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a grandson, Bartholomew Falvey, and a brother, Francis Carelli. RuthAnn was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Frank and Annabel (Brady) Carelli, and graduated from the former Sacred Heart Academy. She worked for Hanover Insurance for many years, where she was the fleet maintenance supervisor, before retiring in 1990. She was a member of Saint Joan of Arc Church. RuthAnn enjoyed traveling, but most importantly spending time with her loving husband, children, and cherished grandchildren. The Bartholomew family would like to extend a warm and heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Jewish Healthcare, for their loving support, understanding, and exceptional care. The funeral for RuthAnn will be held Wednesday, June 11, from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Saint Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 10 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
