Ruth E. (Gregory) Campanale, 74, of Worcester, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away Wednesday, March 5th 2008 surrounded by her devoted family. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Peter V. Campanale, Sr.; her beloved sons, Peter V. Campanale, Jr. and his wife Rita of West Boylston, Michael Campanale and his wife Rhonda of Warwick, RI; Paul Campanale and his wife Karen of Worcester; a brother, Paul Gregory of Auburn; three sisters, Barbara Landry and Rose Ross both of Shrewsbury, and Virginia Mills of Florida; seven cherished grandchildren; Brian, Jennie Lynn, Marissa, Giana, Devin, Jack and Emma; two adored great grand children; many nieces and nephews. A son Vincent Campanale passed away in 2005, a sister Mary Toupin also pre deceased her. Ruth as born in Worcester, her parents were Fred and Ruth (Martin) Gregory. Ruth was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church. She enjoyed going to beaches in Florida and Cape Cod. Her happiest times were those spent with her family and watching her grandchildren grow. Ruth's funeral will be held, Friday, March 7th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St with a mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 34 Massasoit Rd. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Thursday, March 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
