Robert Veriguete, 25, of West Memphis, Arkansas formerly of Worcester, a two tours Iraq, U.S. Marine Veterans passed away Saturday November 11th in West Memphis, from injuries suffered in an accident. Robert is survived by his; his mother, Adriana Franco Encarnacion of Worcester; two brothers, Wascal Santiago, and his wife Carey of Millbury and Ivan Veriguete in New York; a sister, Sujei Santiago of Worcester, his maternal grandmother, Cecilia Encarnacion of Worcester; girlfriend Rebecca "Becki" Therrien of North Carolina: many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins; He was born in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic, his father was the late Manuel Veriguete. He came to Worcester in 1988, graduated from Doherty High School, joined the U.S. Marines and served two tours in Iraq before joining the U.S. Marine Reserve and settling in West Memphis this past year. Robert worked as a truck driver for FEDEX in Memphis since leaving Active duty. Robert loved motor sports, Basketball, and video games. Robert's funeral with military honors will be held Friday, November 16th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Worcester, with a mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peters Church, 929 Main St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, November 15th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
