Robert E. Sosvielle Sr., "Stumpy", 70, of Worcester past away quietly, Friday, December 14, 2007 at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his six children, Robert Sosvielle Jr., Debra Braga, Linda Leanna, Brenda Sosvielle, Donna Buteau all of Worcester and Joseph Sosvielle of Oxford; eighteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Francis, Albert and Henry Sosvielle, his sister Bella Rochette all predeceased him. Robert was Born in Worcester on August 27,1937, son of the late Arthur and Sylvia Sosvielle and has lived here all of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korea War. Mr. Sosvielle retired as a diesel mechanic from the Peter Pan bus line. He was a member of St. Joseph Church. Stumpy enjoyed camping, motorcycling and most of all being with his family. Robert's funeral will be held Tuesday, December 18th, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Joseph, 35 Hamilton Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 17th.
