Richard J. Bondar, 56, of Gunnarson Road in Worcester, passed away, Thursday, January 17, 2008 in UMass Hospital. He leaves his wife of thirty-two years, Margie (Burchill) Bondar; two sons, Jay Bondar of Ogunquit, Maine, and Andrew Bondar of Worcester; his father, Boleslaus "Ray" Bondar of Worcester; a sister, Mary Ann Heath of Saint Petersburg, Florida; his beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Molly; many nieces and nephews. Richard was born in Worcester, son of the late Mildred (Anderson) Bondar, and has lived here all his life. He graduated from Saint Mary's High School in Worcester, and from Becker Junior College. Richard was employed by Fisher Automotive, formerly Quinsigamond Automotive Warehouse, since he was sixteen years old, when he worked along side his father, and was currently the warehouse manager. Mr. Bondar attended Our Lady of The Rosary Church. He was a Giants fan, and enjoyed spending time at the beach with his family in Ogunquit. The funeral for Richard will be held Monday, January 21, from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of The Rosary Church, 25 Fales Street, Worcester. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday, January 20, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
