Reuben Arbor, 91, of Sewall Street, in Boylston, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, February 6, 2008 in Saint Francis Home. He leaves his loving wife of nearly sixty-eight years, Olga M. (Awad) Arbor; a son, Alan M. Arbor and his wife Kathy of Londonderry, New Hampshire; a daughter, Ann Arbor of Washington, D.C.; a brother, Albert Arbor of New York City; a grandson, Christopher Arbor; a great grandson, Elijah Arbor; many nieces and nephews. A brother, Sol Arbor, pre-deceased him. Reuben was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island, the son of Joseph and Anna (Shuster) Arbor. Reuben grew up in Providence, Rhode Island, before meeting his wife and moving to this area. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army Air Corps, during World War II. Mr. Arbor was President of Arbor Sales Company, which offered local households a wide variety of general merchandise. He also owned and operated Tatnuck Dry Cleaning in Worcester. He was a member of the Oak Hill American Legion. He enjoyed golfing and bowling, but found most satisfaction and happiness in his family. Calling hours for Reuben will be held tonight, Friday, February 8, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. A graveside service will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston.
