Raffella A. "Rae" (Esposito) Manna, 87, of Worcester passed away, Tuesday, January 15th 2008, in the University of Massachusetts Hospital surrounded by her family. Raffella's husband of 45 years Angelo P. Manna, passed away in 1989. She is survived by her devoted children, Richard A. Manna and his wife Linda of Shrewsbury, Stephen "Skits" Manna and his wife Linda of Worcester and Linda M. Andros of Rochdale; two sisters, Mary Ciccarelli of Worcester and Michelena Rosiello of Shrewsbury; a cherished granddaughter Courtney Andros; many nieces, nephews and friends. Five brothers, Dominick "Dimo", Frank, Michael, Matteo and John Esposito and a sister, Josephine Ferrantino pre deceased her. Raffella was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Matteo and Libra (Notarangelo) Esposito, and has lived here all her life. Rae well known to those who traveled the Shrewsbury street restaurants. She was a cook at several restaurant's on the Street, including; The Wonder Bar, Harpers Bazaar and Auntie Mae's to name a few, before retiring. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church. She loved to cook, and watching the Red Sox and Boston Celtics on TV. The funeral will be held Saturday, January 19th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St with a mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be next to her husband in St. John Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, January 18th in the funeral home.
