Nancy Martello

Nancy L. (LaRose) Martello, 64, of Alsada Drive, in Worcester, passed away, Tuesday, November 13, 2007, in University Commons. Her husband, Robert Martello, predeceased her in 1994. She is survived by two daughters, Francine Martello of Worcester, and Justine Gour and her husband Kevin, with whom she lived; two brothers, Francis LaRose of Florida and Maine, and Orrin LaRose, Jr. of Auburn; a grandson, William Gour; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Orrin W. and Marion (Lovejoy) LaRose, and has lived in both Worcester and Leicester. Mrs. Martello retired from Memorial Hospital in Worcester, where she worked in the house keeping department. She had previously worked for twenty-five years, as an assembler at Digital Equipment Corporation. She enjoyed B.I.N.G.O., the "wonder of it all", and science fiction. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Nancy's oncologist, Dr. Kasturi, for the special care he and his staff shared with Nancy and her family. Nancy's funeral will be held Friday, November 16, at 11 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held Thursday, November 15, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
