Michael A. Capone, 85, of Worcester died peacefully Tuesday December 25, 2007 in St. Vincent Hospital after a brief illness. He is survived by his niece and nephew Catherine and Mark Mangaudis and their children, Matthew, Melyssa, Emily, Nicole, and his brother in law Harold B. Cline, and nephews and nieces. Michael was predeceased by six sisters, Rose Bellofatto, Helen Siam, Gladys Cline, Anne and Dorothy Capone, Mary Pawlina, and a brother Dominic Capone. Michael was born in Worcester son of the late Valentino and Vincenza (Solitro) Capone and lived here all his life, and attended Worcester Public Schools. Michael was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps serving during WW11.Michael worked for many years for the Pennsylvania Truck Line Company before he retired. Previous to that he worked for Worcester Sand and Gravel, and Fay Transportation Company. Michael was a long time member of Our Lady Of Mt Carmel-St Ann Church, the local #170 Teamsters Union, and the Worcester Marine Corps League. He enjoyed woodworking. Michael will be missed by his family and friends. Mike's funeral will be held Monday December 31, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantation St with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM in Our Lady Of Mt Carmel-St Ann Church 24 Mulberry St.A calling hour will be held from 9:AM to 10:30AM prior to the Mass in the funeral home.
