Michael J. DeFlavio, 55, of Danbury CT formerly of Worcester, passed away Tuesday, April 8th 2008, surrounded by family & friends in Hartford Hospital after an illness. Michael is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Ann DeFlavio of Danbury, CT; his former wife Pilar (Dubuc) Penney of Danbury; a brother, Stephen DeFlavio in North Carolina; three sisters, Diane Maguire and Joan DeFalvio-Isam both in Texas, and Linda McInerny of Spencer; his stepfather Peter Barrett of Worcester; Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Michael was born in Worcester, his parents were the late James DeFlavio and Grace (Pannese) DeFlavio-Barrett. He graduated from North High, attended Houston Texas Community College and has lived in Danbury for the past 18 years. Michael worked as a self employed computer consultant more than 20 years. Michael was a great lover of Blues & Jazz music. He was accomplished in playing the guitar and especially the Harmonica. Michael loved the beach, and sailing. He grew up and enjoyed some of his best times along the shores of Lake Quinsigamond. Michael's funeral will be held Wednesday, April 16th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church, 75 Alvarado Ave. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
