Michael Casso

Michael R. Casso, 88, formerly of Janet Circle, passed away Thursday, January 10th 2008 in the Millbury Health Care after a brief illness. Michael's longtime companion Joanne (McPherson) Lynch with whom he lived, passed away on July 26th; his son, Angelo Casso, passed away in August; a sister Carmela Mangiatordi also predeceased him. He is survived several grandchildren and great grandchildren, including, Karen Wunschel of Millbury and Barbara Bullock, three sisters, Mary and Helen Casso both of Worcester, Lucretia Wylie of Millbury; many nieces and nephews. Born in Worcester, Michael was the son of the late Angelo and Raffaela (Mazzone) Casso. He has lived in Shrewsbury many years. Michael formerly owned and operated a convenience store in Worcester man years before retiring. A period of visitation will be held Monday, January 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon, in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Worcester. A prayer service will be held at 12 noon. Burial in St. John's Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Radius Health Care, Main St. Millbury, MA 01527.
