Meo J. "Moe" Dedo, Sr., 83, of Worcester passed away Saturday, May 3rd 2008, surrounded by his devoted wife and son. Meo is survived by his wife of 57 years, Philomena A. "Phyllis" (Calabrese) Dedo; five sons, Michael Dedo of Leominster, Joseph, Mario and Meo J. Dedo, Jr. all of Worcester, and Robert Dedo of Millis; three cherished grandchildren, Michael, Amanda and Gina Dedo; a brother Joseph Dedo of Warwick, R.I.; a sister, Theresa Halligan in Florida; many nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of Joseph and Vinginzella (Covello) Dedimedico. Meo was a World War II, U.S. Army Veteran and has lived here all his life. Meo worked in the Shoe industry making shoes for more than 26 years for Mutual Shoe in Marlboro before retiring. He also worked part time as a Taxi driver. Meo was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church. Moe cherished his grandchildren, He loved and enjoyed all the opportunities to be with and care for them. He was also a devoted Red Sox and New England Patriots Fan. Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
