Mary L. Dube

Mary Louise (Simmarano) Dube, 82, of Worcester passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2008, in the home of her daughter in Oxford, surrounded by her loving family. Mary is survived by her five devoted children, Richard and Ralph Dube Jr., both of Worcester, Robert Dube and his wife Kathy of Shrewsbury; two daughters, Elaine Polinski and her significant other, Kevin Earley of Oxford, and Michelle Lucey of Leicester; a brother, Vincent Simmarano of Worcester; two sisters, Ann Riel of Auburn and Irene Chartier of Worcester; seventeen adored grandchildren; five cherished great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A son- in- law Worcester Firefighter Jeremiah M. Lucey passed away in 1999, three brothers, Morris, Rocco and Richie Simmarano, and a sister, Phyllis Confer all pre deceased her. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Pietro and Francesca (Dimichino) Simmarano and has lived here all her life. Mary worked several years as a Home Health aide before retiring. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo, and cooking. An energetic women, whose whole life was devoted to her family. Her greatest enjoyment was celebrating her life with theirs, watching them grow, and being with them. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 21st at 10:30 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. A period of visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Mary's memory may be made to the VNA of Southern Worcester County, P.O.Box 368, Webster, MA 01570. A extra thanks to Nancy and to UMASS Memorial Hospice for all that they did to comfort and care for our mother through her difficult time.
